De-Rigging

De-rigging

1. Release the tension on the Cunningham.

2. Undo the automatic snap hooks at the bottom of the mainsheet ratchet block and the Cunningham.

3. Lift the rig out of the boat and remove the mast from the sail. Remember to leave the boom, Cunningham and mainsheet (with pulleys) attached to the sail.

4. Roll the sail from the head. Place the sail, mast, boom and tackle together in the rig bag.

5. Remove the daggerboard and rudder from the hull and place them in their foam sleeves for protection.

Additional Tips:

  • When rolling the sail, make sure that it is rolled firmly so that little excess sail material is left loose in the bag. This will ensure the long term durability of your sail and help to prevent any creasing off the monofilm.
